Lucerne Marathon 2025

Be part of the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne 2025!

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, we will be competing as the ONLU team at the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne. This sporting highlight is the perfect opportunity to master new challenges together and show team spirit.

Marathon details:

Start/Finish:

• Start time: 08.00 am
• Starting point: Swiss Museum of Transport, Lucerne
• Destination: Swiss Museum of Transport, Lucerne
• Closing time: 1.45 pm
• Time limit: 5:30 hours, net time

Route:

• Distance: 42.195 kilometers through the breathtaking city of Lucerne and the surroundings of Lake Lucerne.
• Altitude meters: +190m / -190m
• Highlights:

  • Start directly on Lake Lucerne
  • Past luxury hotels, the Chapel Bridge and the water tower
  • Around the Horw peninsula
  • Along Lake Alpnach with a view of Obwalden
  • Passage through the FC Lucerne football stadium and the Lucerne Culture and Convention Center (KKL)
  • Finish line at the Swiss Museum of Transport

Timekeeping: The time is measured using a transponder integrated in your start number. Your personal net time only starts when you cross the start line. Split times are recorded at several points (5, 10, 15, 21.1, 30, 35 and 40 kilometers).

Catering: There are numerous refreshment stations along the way with water, isotonic drinks, gels and snacks. Extensive refreshments await all participants in the finish area.
